Evidence Collection Masterclass

The strength of your recovery case depends entirely on the quality of your evidence. This lesson covers exactly what to collect, how to preserve it, and what format authorities and legal teams need.

Priority Evidence List

1. Communication Records

• All chat logs (WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, email) — export the full thread, not just screenshots
• Phone numbers, usernames, email addresses used by the scammer
• Profile screenshots showing the scammer's profile photo, bio and account details
• Any voice messages or call records

2. Financial Records

• Official bank statements showing all relevant transactions (with bank stamp if possible)
• Transaction receipts, reference numbers, and confirmation emails
• Cryptocurrency wallet addresses you sent funds to
• Transaction hashes (TxID) for all crypto transactions
• Screenshots of the fraudulent platform showing your balance and transaction history

3. Platform Evidence

• Full URL of any website or app involved
• Screenshots of the platform's interface, your account, and any communications within it
• Any documents, contracts, or agreements they sent you

How to Preserve Evidence

Store all evidence in at least two locations (cloud + local). Do not delete anything. Do not alter or edit screenshots. Courts and investigators need unmodified originals.
